Andrew Chappell is a chef who has finally landed in a place he is excited to call home, and the journey that brought him here ensued from an idea that came to him during the summer of 2018 in Austin, Texas.
June 2019 – “After working as a private chef for over 10 years and traveling the world on employers’ luxury yachts, I have finally settled down to make the kind of food that I enjoy, in a setting that is one of the most beautiful places in this country.
Never would I have guessed the trajectory my career would take; beginning with cooking in New Jersey, to preparing and serving food in Bermuda, Australia, and Europe to the culmination of all my experiences being realized in the seaside town of Stonington on Deer Isle, Maine.
I first saw Maine from a yacht owned by a prominent family from Bar Harbor and had the experience of cruising the entire coastline for three summers. I was hooked!
Coming to Stonington and opening a business is the result of a lot of hard work and I couldn’t be happier to be able to invite you to visit my restaurant the “Fin & Fern”.
